How to Recover Your Account

Learn how Rebind keeps your account safe — and how to recover it if you lose you access.

Updated over 3 months ago

Rebind doesn’t use seed phrases. Instead, your account is secured by your preferred login credentials (email or social logins) combined with your biometrics as multi-factor-authentication. Recovery is simple, secure, and designed for real-life situations — like losing your phone or switching devices.

How Account Recovery Works

When you sign up:

  1. You create your embedded wallet secured by your chosen login method.

  2. You set up a passkey, which is stored in your selected password manager (e.g. iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager). The passkey is used as an extra security step for approving transactions.

As long as you keep access to your selected login method and your passkey is backed up in your password manager, you can restore access on a new device.

Alternatively, there is the option to export the full private key to store it in any secure environment of your choice. However, keep in mind that this increases the risk of being compromised.

How to Recover Access

If you’ve lost your phone or deleted the app:

  1. Download the Rebind app on your new device

  2. Open the app and tap “I already have an account”

  3. Log-in with your initially selected method

  4. Make sure you’re signed in to the same password manager that stored your passkey (e.g., iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager)

  5. Once verified, your account will be restored — including your assets, settings, and transaction history

You’re back in. No seed phrase. No reset emails. No support tickets.

Need Help?
