How to Recover Your Account

Learn how Rebind keeps your account safe — and how to recover it if you lose you access.

Updated over a month ago

Rebind doesn’t use seed phrases. Instead, your account is secured by passkeys, protected by biometrics or your device’s lock. Recovery is simple, secure, and designed for real-life situations — like losing your phone or switching devices.

How Account Recovery Works

When you create your account, Rebind offers two backup options:

1. Password Manager Backup

Your passkey is stored in your password manager (like iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager). If you switch devices or reinstall Rebind, your account can be restored automatically — just log in with your passkey.

2. Rebind Backup

If you use a device that doesn’t support password managers, you can use a Rebind-specific backup instead. This includes:

  • Enabling biometric security (Face ID or fingerprint)

  • Creating a new passkey, stored securely and encrypted

  • Linking it to your Rebind username for retrieval during recovery

In this case, we'll need to verify your identity to ensure it's really you linking a new passkey to the account.

How to Recover Access

If you’ve lost your phone or deleted the app:

  1. Download the Rebind app on your new device

  2. Open the app and tap “I already have an account”

  3. Choose “Sign in with passkey”

  4. Once verified, your account will be restored — including your assets, settings, and transaction history

You’re back in. No seed phrase. No reset emails. No support tickets.

Need Help?
